From today, My Agile Privacy 3.3.6 is available.
This update has two sides: new features you'll notice and start using right away, plus a long list of improvements under the hood that make the plugin lighter, more compatible, and, just the way we like it, focused on real compliance.
It only takes a minute: update from your WordPress dashboard and everything will be ready to use.
What's new you'll notice right away
🎬 Video Privacy Mode, you decide
You can now choose how to handle embedded YouTube and Vimeo videos. You can anonymize them, preventing tracking cookies from being loaded automatically, or block them entirely until the visitor gives consent. Both options are compliant. The choice depends on how you want your video content to be displayed.
🎨 Redesigned widgets for blocked videos and maps
The placeholders displayed instead of blocked videos and maps have been completely redesigned. They now provide better visual context and, as always, match your cookie banner's colors, allowing you to customize their appearance.
🧭 A redesigned interface, with contextual help on every screen
We've redesigned the entire administration interface. Every settings section now includes a link to the relevant documentation. The new Contextual Online Help takes you directly to the explanation you need, written by our experts.
New features for users who...
...have visitors from the United States
We've added support for five additional U.S. state privacy laws: Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, and Rhode Island.
...manage advertising and tracking
The new Google Tag Gateway detection alerts you if Google Tag Gateway causes tags to fire before your consent management system, so you can immediately verify whether Google Consent Mode V2 is working correctly. You can read more here: Google Tag Gateway documentation.
The Policy Assistant now includes new options for social login and advertising and marketing partners, making it possible to generate privacy policies that more accurately reflect your website's actual configuration.
Under the hood
We've revised the privacy policy texts to make them clearer and more accurate, improved administrator notifications, and introduced a new dedicated capability, myagileprivacy_edit_options. If you're an agency or manage a team and restrict certain WordPress capabilities for security reasons, you can now grant access to My Agile Privacy simply by assigning this capability to selected users.
Performance has also been improved with more efficient internal caching, including multisite installations, lower memory usage during activation and synchronization, and better compatibility with page builders, caching plugins, and optimization plugins.
Update in one minute
Go to Dashboard → Updates (or the Plugins page) in WordPress and install version 3.3.6.
As always, if you need any help, our support team, real people, not chatbots, is just a message away.
Thank you for continuing to choose My Agile Privacy!
