With My Agile Privacy® 3.4.1, email pixels find their place inside the plugin: the Policy Assistant declares the tracking and hands you the ready-made consent texts for your signup form, the guided answer to the Garante's guidelines. And your numbers go back to telling the story of people: consent statistics recognize bots, the automated programs that visit a site without being people, from search engines to AI crawlers, and keep them out of the rates.
Policy Assistant: email tracking, with the texts ready
This is the feature that closes the circle opened by the Garante's guidelines on email pixels. In the Policy Assistant you find the new options to declare the tracking of openings and clicks in newsletters and service emails, valid for sites subject to the GDPR or UK legislation. The privacy policy is composed with the paragraphs matching what you declare, and a window hands you the ready-made consent texts for the signup form: the newsletter checkbox and the optional tracking one, with double opt-in recommended and the list of requirements you and your sending platform must meet.
Consent statistics: people on one side, bots on the other
Not all visitors are people, and until now the statistics did not tell them apart. From 3.4.1, Consent Statistics recognize bots and keep them out of the rates: the page opens on the "People" view and shows the numbers that matter. The new "Traffic" menu lets you see them separately, under "Bots", or together with people under "All traffic".
The Italian deadline is 29 October 2026. We told the complete story in the article Tracking pixels in email: the rules of the Garante and the CNIL: if you have read it, you already know what to do. Now the path is guided.
Cookie Shield: faster and more reliable
The heart of the plugin gets stronger: preventive cookie blocking is faster and more reliable. Less waiting, same guard duty: no cookie before consent.
Better compatibility with caching
Improved compatibility with WP Rocket, including the Delay JavaScript, Minify and Combine JavaScript options, and with Autoptimize, LiteSpeed Cache, SiteGround Optimizer and Jetpack Boost. Site optimization and cookie blocking travel together more smoothly.
All the other news
The banner gets an overall care that shows most on mobile phones: consent buttons side by side on small screens, a shorter banner with text that scrolls after four lines, and a close button with a label and a larger touch area. These are usability and accessibility choices together, adding to the release's other accessibility improvements.
Thought is given also to where an ad blocker hides the banner, on Brave for example: in that case the consent widget stays visible and explains how to unblock consent, which must not disappear together with the blocked advertising.
The same logic seen in the statistics, people first, enters the banner A/B tests: variants, including tests already running, are compared on people only, so each variant reaches later the 200 unique visitors needed for the verdict. For tests started before the update, people-only counting begins the day after; previous days remain counted on all visits.
Google Consent Mode is refined too: accepting or rejecting everything now sends a single consent update, with no repeated requests.
In Consent Statistics arrives the new "Rejections in areas with implicit consent" box, to better read where consent is presumed, and data collection improves on sites living behind a reverse proxy or load balancer, where counting the right visits used to be harder.
The rest is technical work you do not see but feel: better handling of services using jQuery, optimization for low-memory hosting, with faster and safer HTML analysis on large pages, a quicker and more robust IAB TCF startup with fixes to the second layer, new geolocation optimizations, and stronger compatibility with LiteSpeed Cache, page caching systems and in-app browsers.
