Your policies write themselves and stay up to date when the law changes. All you have to do is publish them on the right page.
My Agile Privacy® generates two documents for you: the Cookie Policy and the Personal Data Policy. You don't have to write them by hand: you configure them by answering a few questions, and from that moment on they stay aligned with the regulations you have enabled.
Go to My Agile Privacy® › Policies List. You will find your two documents listed with three pieces of information:
Click a policy name to open it.

You don't write the text of your policies in the editor: you configure it by answering the questions in the Policy Assistant, which you will find under My Agile Privacy® › Policy Assistant.
There you state where you operate, who the data controller is, what your website actually does and whether you transfer data abroad. Your policies are rewritten based on your answers.
This is the most important step of all, and it has a guide of its own: Guide to using the My Agile Privacy Policy Assistant.
Note: when you open a policy you will see the Active regulations box at the top, listing the regulations you are applying (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD and the others). If the one you need is missing, add it from the Policy Assistant, not from here.
Two things are needed before your visitors can read them.
1. Add the shortcode to the page. Create (or open) the page that will host the document and paste the matching shortcode:
You will also find it ready to copy at the top of the policy edit screen, under "Remember to add the following shortcode to the correct page".
2. Link the page in your settings. Go to My Agile Privacy® › Settings › Policies and Regulations and connect each document to its page. For each one, use Url or Page ? to choose between a page on this website and an external address.
Without this link the banner does not know where to send your visitors: the shortcode alone is not enough.
Tip: turn on Show the policy link in the banner to place the link directly in the first layer of the cookie banner, where your visitors will find it straight away.
When regulations change, or when something changes in your website configuration, My Agile Privacy® rewrites the text of your policies. You don't have to do anything.
The switch that controls this behaviour is in the Allow updates? box on the right, in the edit screen of each policy. It works per document: you can keep it on for the Cookie Policy and off for the Personal Data Policy, or the other way round.

With the switch on — which is the recommended setting — every update replaces the title and the text of the document with the new version. The date you see in the Last update column is when that happened.
We recommend leaving it on. It is what keeps your policies compliant over time, without you having to follow how regulations evolve.
You can change the text. Open the policy and press Edit Policy: the preview gives way to the editor and from there you can write whatever you want.
Careful: if you leave automatic updates on, your changes will be overwritten. At the first update the text goes back to the version generated by the system and whatever you had written is lost.
If you really need a change and you want to keep it:
From that moment on the document is yours and nothing will touch it again.
The trade-off has to be spelled out: with automatic updates off, that policy no longer receives regulatory updates. It stays exactly as you left it, even if the law changes. Keeping it up to date becomes your responsibility, or your privacy consultant's.
That is why, before turning the switch off, it is worth asking whether the change you have in mind could be achieved from the Policy Assistant instead: in most cases it can, and that way you keep both benefits.
If a multilingual plugin is active on your website, opening a policy shows the text in every language you have configured, each in its own tab. Translations are updated automatically too, with the same switch.
The full setup for websites in more than one language is explained here: How to configure My Agile Privacy for multi-language websites.
If you have any questions or need support, you can always use our contact form.
You can find your policies by going to My Agile Privacy® › Policy List. Here you will find the two documents generated by the system (Cookie Policy and Personal Data Policy) with information about each one: the document name, the automatic updates status, and the date of the last update.
The contents are not written manually in the editor, but are configured through the Policy Wizard, accessible from My Agile Privacy® › Policy Wizard. By answering the wizard's questions (where you operate, who the data controller is, what features the website has, whether you transfer data abroad), the policies are automatically rewritten based on the answers provided.
Two steps are required: first you need to insert the corresponding shortcode into the website page (for the Cookie Policy use

Through the banner, the user can choose whether to:
The preferences expressed through the banner are retained for a period of 180 days by means of a technical cookie. If you access from a different device or browser, you will need to reconfigure your preferences.
The user may, in any case, at any time modify the choices made by accessing the dedicated functionality, identifiable by the icon or the link dedicated to consent management.
6. On what legal bases do we process the data collected through cookies and related technologies?
The installation of cookies and the use of tracking tools are based on different legal bases depending on the category of the tool and the applicable legislation. In general:
Where personal data is processed through cookies, the related processing is based on the legal bases provided for by the GDPR, such as, depending on the case, the user’s consent, the performance of a requested service, the fulfilment of legal obligations or the legitimate interest of the Data Controller, for example to ensure the security of the site and prevent abuses.
Refusing or withdrawing consent to the use of certain cookies may limit access to some personalised features of the site.
7. How is your data protected?
The personal data collected through this site by means of cookies and tracking tools is processed by electronic means in accordance with the principles of lawfulness, fairness, minimisation, integrity and confidentiality.
In particular, communications between the user’s browser and the site are protected by HTTPS encryption, a measure aimed at reducing the risk of interception or manipulation of the data transmitted during browsing.
The Data Controller also adopts further technical and organisational measures appropriate to ensure a level of security suited to the risk. For details of such measures, please refer to the Personal Data Policy on this site.
8. Where can your data be processed and transferred?
Some of the cookies and third-party tools listed in the following section “Detailed list of cookies” are provided by parties that may process the data in countries other than the one in which you reside, including foreign countries.
The data collected through cookies and tracking tools is processed, as a rule, within the European Union / European Economic Area (EEA). Where a supplier processes personal data in third countries, the transfer takes place only where an applicable adequacy decision exists, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for US suppliers that are actually certified, or on the basis of appropriate safeguards pursuant to Articles 44 et seq. of the GDPR, including, where applicable, the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission.
For transfers to third countries subject to the UK GDPR,
the basis consists of the adequacy determinations recognised by the United Kingdom (including, for the US,
the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework – “UK-US Data Bridge” for certified
suppliers) or by appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA)
or the UK Addendum to the SCCs, subject to a transfer risk assessment (TRA).
The details of the individual suppliers and their respective destination countries are set out in the cookie table in section 10. Countries to which transfers may take place: United States
9. Who can receive your data?
The personal data collected through cookies and tracking tools may be processed by the Data Controller, by authorised persons and by technical service providers or third parties involved in the provision of the services on the site.
Such parties may act, depending on the case, as Data Processors, independent Data Controllers or, where applicable, joint Data Controllers. The related information is indicated, where available, in the detailed list of cookies and in the privacy notices of the individual suppliers.
With reference to the applicable US and Canadian regulations, the sharing of data with third-party providers of profiling or advertising cookies may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” of personal data: in such cases the user can exercise the right to opt out as described in this notice.
The updated list of suppliers can be consulted in the table in section 10 and is also available on request at the Data Controller’s contact details.

My Agile Pixel® - Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"). Google Ireland Limited is owned by Google LLC USA. Google uses the Personal Data collected to track and examine the use of this site, compile reports on its activities, and share them with other services developed by Google.
To ensure greater compliance with the GDPR regarding the transfer of data outside the EU, such transfers should only be carried out in anonymous form. It is important to emphasize that simple anonymization does not provide a sufficient level of protection for personal data exported outside the EU. For this reason, the data sent to Google Analytics, and therefore potentially accessible outside the EU, can be anonymized using a proxy system called My Agile Pixel. This system can replace your personal data, such as your IP address, with anonymous information that cannot be traced back to you. As a result, in the event of a data transfer to non-EU countries or to the United States, it will not be your personal data being transferred, but rather anonymous data.
The collected data is used for the purposes of personalizing the experience and statistical tracking. You can find more information on the page "More information on how Google processes personal information".

12. What are your rights regarding the data collected?
In relation to the data collected through cookies and tracking tools, the user can exercise at any time the rights granted by the applicable legislation.
In particular, the right most directly connected to cookies is the right to withdraw the consent previously given to the use of non-technical cookies and to modify one’s preferences at any time, through the dedicated consent management function identifiable by the icon or the dedicated link, without this affecting the lawfulness of processing based on the consent given before the withdrawal.
Users in the United Kingdom have the right to lodge
a complaint directly with the Data Controller regarding data protection: the Data Controller will
respond within 30 days. This is without prejudice to the right to approach the Information
Commission (formerly the Information Commissioner’s Office – ICO).

Additional legal bases for Brazil (LGPD):
Where processing falls under the jurisdiction of the LGPD, the following specific legal bases provided for by Brazilian law also apply:
Failure to accept or the withdrawal of consent may limit certain features or services of the site, such as receiving commercial communications or subscribing to the newsletter.
4. What data do we collect when you visit the site?
While browsing this site, the following data may be collected, including by means of cookies and similar technologies such as pixel tags, web beacons, local storage and equivalent technologies – namely:

Identifying data provided voluntarily: information entered in the digital forms on the site (e.g. first name, last name, e-mail, telephone) and/or provided by sending e-mails or through other contact channels, used to respond to requests, provide services and any consultations, and — subject to consent — to send informational or commercial communications.
Data relating to purchases, payments and financial transactions: collected only if the site offers paid services and handled with specific security precautions. 7. Where can your data be transferred?
The personal data collected through this site may be processed within the European Union / European Economic Area. In some cases, the use of third-party services may involve a transfer to third countries. Where transfers to the United States take place, these are made to providers that adhere to the EU-US adequacy framework (Data Privacy Framework) or, failing that, on the basis of Standard Contractual Clauses.
For transfers subject to the UK GDPR, lawfulness is based on the United Kingdom’s adequacy decisions (for the United States, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, the so-called “UK-US Data Bridge”, limited to certified providers) or on appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the Standard Contractual Clauses, subject to a transfer risk assessment based on the “data protection test” criterion (protection not materially lower than that of the United Kingdom).

The user, under the applicable legislation, has the right to:
To exercise these rights, it is sufficient to send a request to the Data Controller’s contact details. In the United Kingdom, the time limit for responding may be paused where the Data Controller reasonably requests the information needed to confirm the user’s identity or to clarify the subject of the request; the Data Controller carries out reasonable and proportionate searches in order to comply with access requests.
9. How is minors’ data processed?
The protection of minors is a fundamental priority.
This site is not directed at minors and does not intentionally collect their data through its forms. If automatic updates are active and you manually edit the text, your changes will be overwritten at the next system update and the text will revert to the automatically generated version. To keep your changes, you must first disable automatic updates by setting the toggle to 'No' in the 'Allow updates?' panel.
With automatic updates disabled, the policy no longer receives regulatory adjustments and remains fixed at the version it was left in, even if the regulations change. The responsibility for keeping it up to date shifts to the user or their privacy consultant. Before disabling the toggle, it is advisable to check whether the desired change cannot be achieved through the Policy Wizard.
Yes, the automatic updates toggle applies to each individual document. It is therefore possible to keep it active for the Cookie Policy and turned off for the privacy policy, or vice versa, depending on your needs.
Yes. If a multilingual plugin is active on the website, opening a policy will display the texts in all configured languages, each in its own tab. Translations are also automatically updated using the same automatic updates toggle.
