Cookie Shield options are located at the menu item:
My Agile Privacy > Privacy Settings > "Cookie Shield" tab.
COOKIE SHIELD SECTION
In this section you can manage the functionality of Cookie Shield, the automatic detection and blocking of cookies and third-party software.
Modes of operation
At the time of installation of My Agile Privacy, Cookie Shield is in Off mode.
To configure it, select "Learning Mode," save your options, and start browsing your frontend website: as Cookie Shield detects cookies, it will block them and automatically make them available in the cookie bar.
A notification placed at the bottom of the screen, will show you page by page what cookies are being detected in real time.
Once finished, select the "Live" mode, and save the options to make it operational.
Ability mode "increased compatibility"
Check this option if Cookie Shield in "Learning Mode" does not detect any cookies.
If even then no cookie is detected, you can contact the support team available to you via our contact form.
Type of Hook,
Scanner Priority "Start,
Scanner Priority "End"
These options appear only if "increased compatibility" is enabled.
Change these settings only under directions from the support team.
Advanced Video Privacy
This option allows you to automatically set the "advanced privacy" mode on all YouTube and Vimeo videos placed on the website.
The "advanced privacy" mode inhibits the installation of cookies while allowing videos to be enjoyed.
Strengthen YouTube Privacy
Depending on how YouTube videos are included, you may need to enable this option, which uses a stronger cookie-blocking engine specific to YouTube videos. If you are not sure which option to use, please contact support via the contact form provided.
Block Maps Widgets
This option allows preemptive blocking of Google Maps.
Instead of the map, a widget of the same size will appear, with a user notification message alerting the user to content blocked due to cookie preferences.
Block Captcha
This option allows preemptive blocking of Google ReCaptcha.
The video below, shows the configuration and detection of frontend cookies using Cookie Shield.
NOTIFICATION BAR SECTION
In this section manage the options related to the blocked content notification bar.
It is possible to show an on-screen notification, alerting the user that some content may be blocked due to their cookie preferences.
Blocked features are listed in the notification bar.
Enable the dynamic "Blocked Content" notification bar.
If selected, this option allows the notification bar to appear on the site.
The notification bar is automatically placed opposite to the cookie bar:
If the cookie bar is placed at the bottom, the notification bar will appear at the top, and vice versa.
Show bar even before choosing any consent
This option, if selected, allows the blocked content notification bar to be shown even when the user expresses no preference (so, for example, clicks on the X in the cookie banner).
If this option is turned off, the notification bar is shown only after the user has consented or rejected cookies (all or only some).
Automatically Close "Locked Content" Notification Bar
If selected, this option allows the notification bar to disappear after a few seconds. Otherwise, the bar remains visible at all times.
"Content Locked" closing timeout
If the previous option is selected, this option allows you to set the time after which the notification bar will disappear.
The time is expressed in milliseconds. The default value is 3000, or 3 seconds.
